Fynn - Credit Card Advisor
Problem
Most credit card comparison tools are affiliate-driven and rank cards by signup bonuses, not by real-world fit for the user's spending patterns.
Approach
Designed a deterministic four-factor utility model — spend fit × goal alignment × fee efficiency × eligibility — evaluating 88 cards in under a second. Built the full stack solo using AI-assisted workflows with Claude and Cursor: Next.js 15, Supabase/Postgres with row-level security, and Plaid integration for spend, net worth, holdings, and dividend data.
Outcome
- Validated against 30 user profiles, hitting the textbook-correct top pick on 24.
- Shipped a spend optimizer, benefit tracker, dividend tracker, and recurring-spend detection.
- Prototyped a Chrome extension for at-checkout card selection.
Gaming · Content Platform
PlaySync
Problem
Gaming communities often need to jump between blogs, patch notes, lore references, account updates, and newsletters to stay current.
Approach
Designed and built a full-stack content platform with authentication, searchable articles, structured patch note storage, lore galleries, and Supabase-backed data workflows.
Outcome
- Centralizes gaming content, updates, discovery, and account workflows into one product.
- Automates patch note ingestion, newsletter generation, and publishing tasks.
- Includes internal tools for creating posts and streamlining content operations.
